Hey Dick,
What year Foxes did the pictured ones come from? My '59 and '62 Maks both came with rod ends that were more elongated. I'm wondering if Tourek changed their design (or Fox their spec).

Dan,
Interesting question. My original drawings of the 59 Mak-Kart assembly shows the version in my post. The parts list shows it as 200-017 and I have the original drawing that was revised in 1969 and it looks like the one I posted. However my 1967 literature shows an extended shank. I can't remember seeing any of the extended ones but that doesn't mean they were never made.

Here's three of the ones that were on our '59 Mak which we bought in '60 and one off my '62 which I bought at the end of the '62 season.

If you still have them I am interested in buying.

They would work great on my current restoration.

Thanks again, Dick Teal 1-920-296-5786

I still have the '62 Mak. The '59 is long gone...except for the rod ends. We changed the steering on the '59 back then to ackermann and ended up using heim type rod ends.

What do you need for the ball joints you still have, if you're willing to sell them? I reproduce stainless Fox pedals and throttle arms for the cross rod behind the tank if needed.

Tom,
Jack Murray had some of these and they will work but they have a groove machined in the shank, are too long and do not have a cotter hole. I suppose I could use a filler on the shank and then paint them. I have a fixture for cutting the ball stud and drilling the hole.

Thanks for the information.
