Scott,
I run in the sportsman class with a Mac 9 and I weigh 158 and the gearing I run is 9-68. A bottom of 68 to 72 depending on your weight in my opinion is where you need to be. No matter how your geared your going to have a GREAT time.

Hi Scott,Depending on how much you weigh your gearing can be all over the place for Avon. My sportsman rear is geared 9/70 which is just about right for my Mc40.Not sure what the Yamaha guys gear, probably over 8:1 but I am not sure about that.
A good running 91 could gear 9/68.
My 101A is geared 10/67
Like I said, depending on what you are running it can be all over the place.

Hey Scott, thanks for the info, did not make it, looks like you guys had fun and good weather. Want to run on your track bad, kind of looks Like Christmas village track in Bernville, PA that my dad and uncle raced at, had my first time in a kart on the track there. To much rain clean up at home, you guys did not get hit like we did. Hope to go to Oreville event.Scott
