So flyer says Dual engine karts. Is this rear or sidewinder and I know there was chatter about being dual Yamaha class ? And also were would you put a 14 year old that runs the junior class with a vintage sidewinder Yamaha combination ?

I believe camping is available but there are no hook ups.

The flyer also says we’d form classes according to participation.
With the “duels” that would certainly be the case.
With a 14 year old that would also be the case.
If there are no others, I would tend to put the 14 year old with like karts, non scored and at the back of the grid. Experience might be a factor also.
The parents would also weigh in on the decision.

We are adding “Sportsman Rear” to the list of expected classes for Avon and the remaining events in the NE Series.
There are a number of Series participants who have shown interest in running in this class. We’re giving it a try and hoping it will take off.

Well the clock is ticking fast and the 2nd get together in our series will be here before you know it. Both Scott and I are working hard to out do what you experienced last year. There will be pictures of the track modifications posted next week. Over nite camping is permitted outside the track area on the right as you enter The facilities. The rest rooms will be open 24 hours for those who choose to camp. As you know from last year parking is first come first served and we expect a larger turn out from last year. I strongly suggest that if it’s possible in your personal schedule that you arrive on a Thursday to get a good parking spot and track time. Avon update as of today with a whooping 93 degrees. Scott and I ran the new layout with our Sportsman Class Karts and it was a ball and fast. All your rear folks will enjoy it and the sidewinders will love going around the first corner side by side. We shot a video of going around the track in the golf kart and Scott is going to post it soon. Looking forward to seeing everyone in a couple of weeks. Stay cool till then.

We're racing our new-ish karts at Avon today. Yeah I know, it's going to be stupid hot but we're racing anyhow! It will be our second time racing on the new layout. I love it! It's a lot more fun, you can carry so much more momentum through the back section. We're packing lots of water!

Very nice video, thinking of going, can anyone give me a close idea on gear? Looks like a long straight to gear for. Track looks fast for rears and sidewinders with hard tires (but fun).
Put a few karts together in the last couple years, have a lot of old stuff, nothing special to keep up with your agro fast guys using big motors and soft tires. Ran my Yamie in one of your events, Oreville (closest to me), ran ok, awesome crew you have. Love just seeing, hearing and smelling them (if not driving).
One day my kids will have a whole lot of crap to sell, Ha. Got get out with you guys more, just like running them. Reminds me of my youth with dad and uncle, 60s-80s. Thanks for keeping this going, awesome organization. SKLast edited on Sun Jul 15th, 2018 05:07 pm by scott kreiser
