 Looks like my Rupp A-Bone. Everybody tells me it's a 1967. Looks like yours still has the original wheels, that's always a good find. Mine were a mess but I was able to clean them up pretty decent.

 My yard kart was an A-Bone when I was a kid and I wanted one to restore. I found this one a couple of years ago. It's a blast to drive! Good luck with your resto!

I think that the attached compilation may be helpful.

Both Brett M and "saltcoupe" have the narrow steering hoop.  My understanding is that  A-Bones 1968 and later had that.

[Per a recent thread here, the narrow hoop existed on certain models made by Rupp starting in 1963 (sold through Sears & Roebuck and maybe Montgomery Ward?) but among other things, those didn't have the front bumper that you guys have.]

 To respond in order of your questions:

Yes, I converted to a modern disc brake. I felt safety was more important than originality so I installed a modern disc.

Yes, that is an MC90 Mac. It is a Scott Kneissel rebuild/resto and it runs beautifully.

A gentleman in Buffalo, NY - Mike Schlager - repops the seats and does a beautiful job. His work is flawless!

Yes, I moved the steering post to the top of the hoop. That little bit of added height makes a world of difference in driving comfort. Not to be wasteful, I machined the steering post bushings from the original axle in the kart, then welded them in place.

Another thing: I went with an aluminum floor pan even though the original one was steel. The original was solid rust and dents and beyond repair, so I cut if off. After taking a lot of pains to get the chassis straight and square, I felt that welding in a new steel pan might warp it out of shape again, so I decided to make one from aluminum and pop rivet it in. It's not original, but I think it looks good that way.

 @Brett Mallory: Very nice! Thanks for the info. I have a Mac (110 I believe) Would require a rebuild, it's been under my work bench since the 70's. Would also need a carb, engine mount, and starter cup but the rest is there.
