Hello Rodney,
Post some photos showing the condition and tell some history of the engine. There is no one set value or price on anything.
If it is NOS or new old stock, meaning it has NEVER been used, then the value would be pretty high. Some guys are asking $1,500 for an engine like that, including the original box.
If it is well used, nearly worn out, lost most of it's compression, with broken fins, dirtier than a pig in the mud and won't run, then maybe you might get somebody willing to pay you $100 as a usable core that will probably need every part in it replaced with new parts. Rebuilds cost anywhere from $400 and up. Probably more up, more money, because you never know what a rebuild will need until you take the engine apart.
Those are two extremes, but maybe your engine falls in the middle, which someone would price according to the condition.
Show us some pics. There are some McCulloch engine builders on this site and they could give you a value based on the photos.
Are you planning on selling the engine or rebuilding it?
Kind Regards,
