I'm kind of curios as to what materials most in vintage karting are using to make gaskets for those hard to find, non-existant or just plain crazy expensive gaskets?
I've been to NAPA, looked on the internet and tried several other auto parts stores.
I've found the thicker materials, .030 & up.
I'm looking for the thinner gasket material, .005 & up to .030.
In the past I've used notebook paper, brown wrapping paper, old manilla file folders.
They've kind of worked ok, but I'm just not comfortable with those non-gasket type meterials.
I found one outfit that had every thickness I needed, the catch? They had a minimum to order. It was a large quantity, something like 1000 sq. ft. at a time.
Anyone have any info on this, please post here or contact me.
Thanks everyone,
Jeff May
