 If I recall, those were just Tecumseh (or Kohler) gas tanks that were used on Troybilt (and other) rototillers.

They were like this except the opening was on the narrow side instead of the wide side as this one is. If nothing else you could move the openings on one of these.

 Mike, if you go to e bay and put in sears go kart they have ads for the 300 that shows the tank. I can't seem to paste a copy.Thank you

 dan is correct with comment and tanks.except gas cap.
the tank is nothing special find them on most sear items just painted red and they never had lettering on them despite the hype?
