I am redoing a Margay Bandito. I waswondering if anyone had a decent rear bumper for one. Center to center is 24 1/2 inches . Thank you. Barry Greenzweig,

Barry, did you try calling Margay?
I called them about parts for my Panther-X, and they had them.Last edited on Thu Mar 1st, 2018 06:35 am by Gordon Duax |

Hi Barry,
Knowing your style, I figured you'd be looking for a FRONT bumper... you know... with all the hammering you do on back of my karts.
Rumor has it that you've been racing since karts had wooden wheels, so you probably know Mark Bergfelt, northwest of Pittsburgh, but just in case, here's his website:
http://www.bergfeltracing.com/bumpers.html
He makes them from scratch at a fair price.
He also runs Unlimited Allstars karts.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cTFjx0Bu5DA

Hm, wonder if they offer chroming ?

No, when you get it from Bergfelt it's bare metal.
We bought a Dart A-Bone front bumper copy from him about 10 years ago, bare metal, and I noticed today that his website says paint or chrome is the buyer's responsibility.

I have redone 3 Panther Xs and an Expert, had CKI make front and rear bumpers for all my karts and sent them out for chroming. Typically of you can find a used or NOS bumper the chrome is pitted, mine look better than they did from the factory.
