If you look at the left rear axle/frame area in the above photo...that's how bent the right front is. Any advice for straightening it and getting the right front back to where it needs to be?
Saturday I started stripping the kart. In this photo you can see that somebody in their infinite wisdom welded a piece of what appears to be rebar under the front of the frame. (I'll be removing that). Also the right front is bent. Any advice for straightening that and getting it back to where it should be?
You made it this far. As you know, some projects don't make it past the sandblasting phase. After it comes back from blasting (or stripping), there can be a period of mourning... as in, holy crap, I guess this thing had been held together with Bondo! Not to mention, overly aggressive blasting can warp the sheetmetal.
But from the looks of things, you know your way around this stuff.
Thanks Doug. I'm not a quitter. I'll see it through. I have that "I can't let it beat me" thing. (Which is a handy thing to have). I like having projects and to not finish something would make me feel like a failure. Getting ready to order a new front axle. Just trying to figure out how I get the angles right. Could use some advice on this if anybody can help!
