ATTENTION: One new venue that we are looking at placing on the 2018 VKA Northeast calendar is Nicholson Speedway at Chestertown, MD. The track President, Joe Weissner, is a vintage karting enthusiast, and has asked me to pass along the following:
-- Saturday, October 21, 2017 will be a Open practice day at Nicholson Speedway (Chestertown, MD) starting at 10:00 AM until 5:00 PM or longer (if anyone would like to try running under the lights). All vintage karters and VKA members that would like to come out are welcome; our normal fee for a non-club member practice is $25.00 but we are dropping that to $3.00 for VKA members.
That's really quite a deal, so please get the word out! If you are anywhere near Interstate 95, you have easy access to Nicholson. Check-out the track and directions at: http://nicholsonspeedway.com/

We've been contacted by a couple of members about staying over and racing on Sunday. Please post to the group if they want to, that we are having camping at the track Saturday night or if they want to do a hotel please check http://www.nicholsonspeedway.com and click on Hotels and Dining. I have no problem adding extra classes around the vintage karts, I think it will make a awesome weekend.
This is a great opportunity to check out a possible new venue for the VKA and “The Northeast Vintage Kart Promoter’s Cup Series” for the 2018 season. Come on out and check things out. It’s really should be a fun day!
