Andy Simon picked up his Rupp tonight after I installed a new rear clip when the orig one broke off at the seat back supports. It won't happen again.

Ok, I'll be Straight Man... "And why is that, Mr. Haydt?"

...lemme guess.  Because you put solid bars inside the tubing at the back?

And, do you mean THE Andy Symons?  That's great news.  I think sideburns and bell-bottoms were in style the last time we saw Andy.

So busy being a wiseass, I forgot to mention, very nice metalwork.  Did you buy the back half from RobRon?  Recently?  Or did you harvest it from a cadaver?

I heard about the day it let go on Andy, in Oreville's hairpin, right?

Doug,
Yes I turned down a piece of solid round stock on my lathe and pressed it into the side rails.
The bearing hangers and rear bumper were salvaged from his old clip.
Yep,going into the hairpin when the one side broke and was made worse when he locked up the brake pulling the rear section away from the kart.
Yes we'll see Andy at least once before the season ends,he was all loaded up and ready to come out a few weeks ago,but the rain postponed that plan two times!
I'd be willing to bet his kart & stuff are still in his van yet. :):):)
