Hello,
I am in search of any information about a pair of Tecumseh AH 61 motors. They are split case and AH 61 by measured bore and stroke. The oddity with these motors is where the carb is located(see picture) at a 90 degrees angle to the cylinder. Any questions just ask, and thanks in advance.

The split case AH-61 with the carb on the top is the bushing (rookie class) engine. They came in LH versions only. They used a different crank, rod (with bushing), flywheel, magneto and shroud than the standard and super 61's. Also they had a low compression version of the super head. Here's a pic of a modified early version. Attachment: 1064_1.jpg (Downloaded 104 times) Last edited on Tue Aug 1st, 2017 12:59 am by Dan Dettmann |

Awesome replies guys and sorry for my delay, started a new job. My next question is, does anybody have a parts list for this model? I have two of them I'm trying to rebuild.

I don't remember seeing any IPL's for the bushing motor. Maybe it was a subset of the standard 58 and 61's...don't know. I uploaded the IPL's for the standard 58 and 61's to the Vintage Kart Archives site years ago, I think it's still operational. If not PM me and I'll send them to you. The gaskets for your motor are the same as the standards. The seals are different from the standard motors but I believe they are "normal" (unlike the standard 58 and 61's) and probably readily available.
