Can some one tell me what is the correct taper on McCulloch engines and also the Yamaha KT100? I was told they are the same is this true?
Thank you.

Mike - The tapers are both 10 degrees, the the Mac taper is longer and the Yamaha is a shorter taper. Someone can correct me, but I believe this is accurate.

I seem to recall a post from Dave Luciani on his website sometime ago that one or the other was 9 or 9 1/2 degree's on the taper requiring a good hard lapping to fit the hub to the taper.
course lapping compound used to start with for faster process and then a less course compound to finish off the fit.

Mike - As I had stated before, the McCulloch and Yamaha PTO tapers are both 10 degrees, with the Yamaha taper being shorter than the McCulloch taper.
As to Mark's post, I believe that the 9 degree 30 minute angle is what is used on the IAME PTO. I do not have any IAME cranks to measure, but in any case they are different from the Yamaha and McCulloch PTO tapers.
I took from your original post, that you were only trying to verify that the McCulloch and Yamaha angles were the same.
