I have received a number of questions regarding Tires and 4cycle clutched that are legal for the 2020 Season.
Tires for all Single Engine Sidewinders (not counting “Straight Axle Sidewinders”) are to have a minimum durometer reading of 56.
Tires within this range include:
Bridgestone YKC, YLC,
Dunlop SL 1, 2, & 3
Hoosier R60A
MG Red
Vega Red
Maxis Red
(There May be others that fit into this durometer range)
Twin Engine Sidewinders are to have a minimum durometer reading of 48.
The only tires for the Over-60 Yamaha Limited class are:
Vintage Speed Tires (11/350/5, 11/600/5)
Hoosier R80 (4.5/10/5 - 6.0/11/5 - 7.1/11/5)
The only clutches legal for the 4cycle classes are the Norm GE Series and the Premier Magnum.
Re: All EVK Kart Shows - The "Past Champion" Category is being dropped from the kart show. Making this change will allow all the karts to compete head to head against like karts in their particular kart group.
Junior Classes will be formed accordingly with participation.
