Can anyone point me in the right direction to find a tool that will allow me to install the round 1 piece spring on a rev-grip Horstman clutch? Trying to install this thing reminds me of the day I was trying to install big block springs in the front of my early Camaro! I don't feel that brave anymore!
Any help would be appreciated.
ThanksDan

Hi Dan.  Bill McCornack makes a simple tool specifically for this purpose.  He'll also sell you his reproductions of the "Super Spring."  (If you thought the regular spring was a bear to install with your fingers...)

I also recall that Jim Donovan (MaxTorque) uses a sturdy spring installer that looks like it would work with any shoe clutch.  I can't say for sure if he sells them or had it as a part of his tool kit.
Happy trails!

Thanks Doug, I'll send an email to Bill. Much appreciated. Dan
