Does anyone know of or remember a kart track on a farm north of Leaf River, IL?   It was probably somewhere near the tiny town of Egan.   Maybe it wasn't on a farm, maybe it was just in the country.

There was a car track called Meadowdale International Raceway outside of Carpentersville Il which is near Sleepy Hollow.
If it is a kart track, that track was could be the one in Gilberts Il., and most knew it as "Gilberts". I don't know if it had a commercial name or kart club affiliation (other than Gilbert's kart club).
As far as the OP's question, I've been waiting to see myself. I don't recall hearing of any in that area although there could of been a private track. I remember hearing of one near Ridot which is just north of Leaf River / Egan. Also, more recently, there was on a farm west of Freeport just outside Pearl city.
Hope that jogs some memories.

as a bonus: anyone remember "Sod Savage" outside of New Windsor IL?

They ran enduro karts at Meadodale also. Had a huge banked left hander going on to the main straight. You could run flat out on the bottom, but a few guys went up on the bank just to play. Watched my dad run there.

Hey Mike
do you remember or ever go to Sod Savage dirt track around New Windsor IL?
I was trying to find it on Google Maps but can seem to recognize it.
