I was curious if two competitors really had the same color name. Here's what I found: Krylon (part of the Sherwin-Williams empire) has "Sun Yellow." Rust-Oleum (part of RPM Brands) has "Sunburst Yellow." No doubt Karl and Terry have actually repainted Macs, and I have not. However, I've had very good success with VHT paints. As long as you follow the bake-out instructions on the can, they have excellent resistance to chemicals and heat. (They make several different types, so spend a few minutes on their website to make sure you're picking the best type for your application.) Look at VHT's SP128 (Gloss Yellow) and see what you think. http://www.vhtpaint.com/high-heat/vht-engine-enamel SP128 is supposedly good up to 550F and has "excellent durability and superior heat and chemical resistance" and is "specially formulated to withstand corrosion, rust, salt spray, chemicals and additives of today's gasoline blends and degreasers." I'm pretty sure they also have the black wrinkle paint you'll need. Brad, be sure to upload pics and let us know what you decide to go with, ok?
