Hey Guys,
I tried looking for an old post but the info is not available on pages past 7 so does anyone remember who has the straightest axles for sale? Seems to me it was TS Racing but I'm not sure.
Thanks,Tom

The TS axles are pretty good but they are the snap ring type not stepped. I think Gary W posted a name of someone who makes axles. You might contact him. Brad

FYI
I got my flex proof axle from BMI kart parts. It had a pretty good bend in it. I needed some parts from Comet kart sales, so I took it with me and they straightened it for me the best they could. I think they said they got it within .005 of an inch. They try to get it at .002. Next time I'm having one made.

Tom, that's a great price. What type of axle (dia, type of ends, etc)? For a rear-engine or sidewinder?
Thanks

Doug,
Snap ring ends, black finish. They have them in 38 and 40 inches.

I had Don fabricate both steel and aluminum axles for my rear karts and he did a fantastic job for a very fair price. I'm sure you'll be pleased if you use him.

Tom, this might be the ticket. A Google search brought up threads on the "old" version of this forum (I didn't search the archive file) and another thread on the REAR forum.
Here is the nugget from the REAR forum:

Hey guys.
There is a guy in Ohio who makes custom axles.
His name is Don Axe and his number is 419.733.4221
Tell him Rick gave you his number.
He has an OD grinder and makes 1" and 1 1/4" axles and can get them plated...
He'd be the one to call..
Rick
Being an expert Enduro racer, I'll bet Rick C's standards for runout are the highest... and Sam Polito is a Tool Maker, so endorsements don't come any better!
