first let me be clear this is not a personal attack i'm merely assessing the kart cause a buddy asked what i thought.
i own a stupid amount of margays so i get asked all the time about values.
i figured putting it here will save me from saying the same thing ten times in p.m.s
the kart looks like a early mk2 before the front porch was lengthened and rear steer incorporated.
and yep the kart is missing a couple of expensive parts.
the swing mount runs around 80-150 on ebay.
the seat is 100$ repop or $100-150 for a nice original.
the tubes on the back of the frame don't belong so i guess unless you're careful the paint job will get aced when the tubes are removed and the area cleaned up.
can't tell but the steering wheel don't look original either.
over all the kart as it sits is worth around 250-300 top dollar.
2 weeks ago i just bought the mk three on the forum, bill mack bought the wheels and total cost was 425.
we paid the picker a decent profit i think he said he paid around 150 - 200.
i , myself, bought a complete one for 150 and a complete runner with mc91 engine for 500.

I'll tell you what I know about it - not much.
I'll tell you what Margay told me about it when I sent a photo and asked for info - not much.
They did mention something about additional tubes in the back, and that it was a Cheetah kit kart, but didn't give me much more.
It's not mine. It was purchased by my son's high school engineering club for a project, but a newer model kart was used instead. I'm selling it for them and the money is going back to the club for their Electrathon project.
I couldn't find much for info or prices on the web, but it looked like a set of series 24 wheels sells for around $250 from what I gathered.
Thanks for the info. I've never heard of a "swing mount" and have no idea what it looks like. Do you have any photos of what the kart should look like?
Thanks.
Jay

Hey Jay,
Here is the swing mount that should be mounted on the right side as you sit in the kart.
Does the floorpan have Cheetah Kit Kart embossed into it? I thought it looked like the kit kart.
Kind Regards, Joe

Considering what I now know about what it has and what it doesn't, I've changed the asking price to $300.
Thanks.
