FYI one can get repops from Vince Hughes at californiavintagekarters for $69
I scored a pair for West Bend 820's for $60 each off ebay a few months back.

 Why buy a reproduction header when you can have an original ? In this case a kart owner could save $40 per header, plus Vince's castings are virtual clones of the originals and it's just a cast header without any special identifying construction features. Run an Azusa original on an engine and one of Vince's for a little while and no one will see any visual difference. There's nothing wrong with you asking whatever price you want for the item, just as Vince can charge what he wants for an excellent reproduction that can't be identified as a new version if it is compared with an Azusa header in the same condition. Some guys will want a part manufactured back in the 60's and others are satisfied with an identical copy made today. In the end it's the buyers choice, but both parts will look great on the appropriate kart.

 There are tons of Azusa Mac headers out there, but not many for 610/820 Benders or for Power Products. TJ

 A billet is a hunk of aluminum, steel, unobtainium or whatever, from which a part can be machined (as opossed to being cast). We run a billet crank in our vintage top fuel car because a casting would not have the proper mechanical properties to hold up under the load. Billet parts are not needed for certain applications but it is considered "cool" to have them. Street rods and bikes appear to be the worst offenders.
