fred i dunno nothin about rotary kart engines but i had pretty good luck with rotary valve engines in our drag sleds .. seems theres alot more precise tunning ..id give edge to rotary engines .. would like to here what others say ..

Hey Fred ,
I've ran both in single and dual set up , The rotary is much faster on upper mid and topend where as the reed motors have great bottom and mid but not as strong on top
but I always geared for the difference , that is on gas and oil not on alky , it might just be me , but the reed motors were not as tempermental and easier to tune. I would take a pair of TT-25's any day over a pair of K-78's
But that's just me cause I won more races with the reeds lol !!!

Are they allowing reeds in VKA?
I have K88's and K78's, and I love 'em and have run the snot out of them with the only issue being a fouled plug one time...and they sound terrific!

You are comparing apples to oranges. The TT-25 reed has a 48mm bore and 53.8mm stroke. Those Komets are 50.8mm and stroke of 48.5.
You need to compare the SS-21 to that TT-25. Or A K-11 to the K78.
A pair long stroke Parillas will rip out of the hole being reed or rotary. Either of them are way easier to get an initial setup going fast. But the Komets will produce just slightly more HP with the shorter stroke/larger bore.
