Interesting.   Your frame has quite a bit of offset - longer right side spindle support etc., whereas mine is symmetrical.  Your main frame tubes also appear to be further apart.  I suspect my frame was either a one-off test design or a junior size due to the unusual seat struts and single steering support tube.  I sure would be interested in the M-50 tank if it were ready to bolt on.   I'd rather not have to do any welding.  Here you can see where I used the clamp-on seat struts.   This is before I powder-coated the frame Chevy Engine Red and re-chromed the bumpers, showing the DAP that I bought with the kart.  I am currently using my Mc 91-B1 from 1970, which I drove at TTT Kartway in Albuquerque on a Bug Sprint.

Update - I just recently had my Mc-91-B/1 completely overhauled and set up for Alcohol.  I hope to do some vintage racing in 2010.

Hey Eric-

The I own the red Meyers frame in the picture Dominick posted. The frame was restored by Jared Ploured with the help of Jack Gessler. According to Jack it is one of the earliest ('72) examples.
If you need additional pics, please let me know I'll be happy to supply them. Jack told me it isn't totally stock, but is very close. I also have the original tank and mounting bracket.

Dan

Frank it is great to here from you.  We have not located Walt yet.  Sadly Jack Nelson Sr. was lost to this world a few years ago.

In my book you are one of the greatest drivers of all time.  I recently watched M. Schmumacher at the SuperNationals and he was boring.  You were always spectular whether at Ascot or a sprint track.  I often have told others that the fastest kart at Adams was Ormande in a B-Limited, not any C-Open.   It was not that you were a flyweight, but also fearless and fast.   I think you were responsible for Ascot not inviting Karts back because you were too fast and would embarass the Big Cars.

If you get a chance to return to California, let me know.  I will get my Meyers Twin 101 C-Open down from the wall and we can take it out to Adams again. it

Hi Frank my dad passed away in 1997 shortly after Bob Meli, it's great to hear from you. I'm still playing and have a shifter and a tag.  I'm looking forward to seeing everyone at Adams I saw Jon and Faye from K&P in May they also asked about Walt.
