I have a king cobra, raced it one time at riverside in 1976. brought it home and it was stollen got it back in 96, what a mess it was going to restore it to original.

Brian, just curious....are the pics of the enduro you were trying to ID a while back? If so, they are different brands of similar names. What you had sent me pics of was a Kobra twin as can be seen of the '73 Buyers Guide on Lostenduros.com and the same brand I raced for many years (one of which I still have). The King Cobra is an entirely different kart as made by Sparbaro and not Mr. T Enterprises who made the Kobra. I quite honestly have not physically seen a King Cobra, just pics of it in an early Buyer's Guide. I'm thinking a Buyer's Guide pre '73 by a year or so because '73 was about the time we bought the Kobra twin along with 2 Kobra single enduros as well from Diz at Comet Kart Sales. The King Cobra was quite a bit more "stylish" than most any enduro kart in it's day. -Alan-

Thanks Alan. The kart I seek is that made by Sparbaro Racing Enterprises. One appears on the cover of the 1973 Karter News Buyers Guide published in 1972 and in detail on page 40.

The Kart that I drove at riverside in 75 or 76 is a King Cobra that Alan is Describing, I went to Bob Sabarbro shop in Walnut Creek Cal. and put togrther 2 Karts, 1 for my team mate who I bought mine from, his kart was anodized black and red. The 2nd kart was a dual that went to texas and it was anodized aqua, that dual kart was on the front cover of Karter News shortly after it was delivered . My kart and team mates were singles and raced in B-Limited with BM130s built by Mike Colver very fast karts Mine was stolen shortly after I got back from Riverside, got it back in 96 currently getting ready to restore it.
