http://www.Kartsandparts.ca

Perry Blair has them for around $70 NOS
They are the later style with LH threads and no keyway but other than that they are the same crank.

The 45 takes the same crank as the Mc20, 30, & 40

I bought several from him.

Hello All,

To be totally correct, a Mc-20 crank IS NOT the same as a Mc-30-40-45 crank.

Mc-20 cranks have a stroke of 1.625 the same as a Mc-10 Factory Stroker, 1.625

Same bore as a Mc-10, 2.125 and a displacement of 5.76 CID. McCulloch incresed

the stroke to 1.635 on the Mc-30 and later engines, and the bore to 2.165 for a

displacement of 6.05 CID. The Mc-30 and later cranks became service replacement cranks for the Mc-20.

Best Regards,

Torque

Hey, Good ol' Al Klusman comes to the rescue! Thank goodness for the guys like him and Tom Smith who have the good memory to keep this stuff straight. Heck, the only way I can remember what I had for breakfast this morning is to look at my beard in the mirror! Torque, If I can scrape up the money, I hope to pit next to you and Jack again at Fremont this year! Ted

From what I see in the MC parts books on rear 's site, the only odd engine out in the MC20 thru 45 is the MC40.All others in that group take the P/N 58128 crank.

Mc40 still takes the same crank. Don't know why there'd be a different P/N, but they're interchangable. TJ

Mc-20 Cranks WERE 1.625 Stroke!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The rules changed to 6.1 in 1962--McCulloch released the Mc-30 and Mc-7 in 1962

Bore increased 0.040 Stroke increased 0.010 in these engines.

This crankshaft was now legal in Mc-20's as was the use of oversize pistons.

The 1.635 crankshaft became a Mc-20 Service Replacement Part.
