Well I and others have probably ignored you (sorry). 2 years ago i would have been happy to help you out as I sometimes went up that way. It is 4 1/2 hours away (one way) from me or I would be glad to at least get it and stash it until other arrangements could be made. that east side of the state probably doesn't have as many Vintage karters. I think dick teal would be about 2hours one way from there .

Have anyone ever tried http://www.uship.com ? They are small time, independent cargo moving contractors that roam the country, hauling just about anything under the sun. I don't know much about them other than what I've seen on the tube but as I understand, you post what it is you want transported and this group bids among themselves what they will charge to haul the item. The lowest bid gets the business. Most of their loads consist of multiple items involving multiple customers which divides up the cost with each customer paying a small share. Might be worth looking into. Couldn't hurt.

I've shipped one rare kart via Uship. It cost $50 more than the lowest common carrier price, but it did not need to be crated or palletized and arrived safely. Be sure to check the feedback rating of the shipper. Greyhound is fine until there is a problem. I could possibly pick the kart up for you Terry, I will be working in Appleton on 3/31 and in Neenah on 4/14 and will be there with a truck. But I would need to pass it off to somebody, I am unable to attend any of the VKA events again this year. Ken

greyhound wont take a pallet... if they did it would cost 3 times as much ...they go by weight .. 100 lbs. max for each pakage ..ive got 3 karts so far from greyhound no problems yet .. the last one i was lucky ...the person didnt take off motor ,fuel ,tank, or wheels and tires .. wrapped it once over very scantly with a grand total of 2 feet or about 3 bucks worth of bubble wrap .. i think he rode it to the bus station and got off throwed it in .. Lol i was very greatfull needless to say ..
