Steve, yes, where possible, we will be running the same format as Cuddy.
The only differences will be the use of cones. There is a track or two where cones won’t work because of the tracks configuration.
But.....
as Karl has stated above, flipping is outlawed at all NE Cup Series Events!

Just curious, at Cuddy did they run time trials and then still run all three heats, or was the first heat the time trial, and then race the last two heats?

brett ., they had us use transponders in practice ..it worked perfect ..nooooo waisted time at all ..
and yes all 3 heats ran no problems ..
I truly believe fast guys up front saved a bunch of coutions and restarts ..

Just thinking about this one some more. Did they start the second heats in the same order as the first heats finished, and likewise for the third heats? Reversing the starting order for the second heats seems counter-productive for time trials.

Brett, It was heads up racing all day long. Fastest to the front.
Reversing the order would have defeated the the whole purpose.
This method created an environment that was as safe as possible.
We are going to use this at all 4 N.E. Series Events for 2018.Last edited on Thu Nov 23rd, 2017 02:07 pm by Al Postiglione

Ryan and I are pretty wrapped up in the new karts now and racing those almost every weekend, so vintage is kind of on the back burner for us. I'll be at Avon again for sure with my A-Bone, and depending how the 2018 classes go we may put an engine on Ryan's MXK Mirage. I like the looks of that 820 kit engine and would like to try one of those.
