Mike, answer to your question varies, with me it's a matter of flushing out the alcohol /nitro (this must be done after every race day) with gas/oil mix or in the case of winter storage,I don't prep the motors as this is the time they all get torn down & freshened up.

The chassis doesn't require any prep as mine are kept in a heated shop & the only thing I do is to clean off the tires with a wire brush, deflate them to 8-10 lbs (keep the bead seated) and wrap them with Saran Wrap (especially if you treat them) The chassis will get a good inspection looking for any cracks, worn bushings, rod ends, wheel bearings ect. Brake pads will get replaced & fluid changed. And of course any "war wounds" will be fixed.

Hope this helps!

Thank's for the reply, thinking about making rolling racks like you would hang clothes on . they need to be stacked.

Mike,Sorry about the wrong reply as I mis-understood what you were asking! So you need to know where to put all the karts now that they started multiplying? Stacking them is the only way to go short of a bigger garage. You can make some very simple yet strong racks by going to Home Depot & buying a couple of 2x4"s and a box of  2"long course thread drywall screws. Use carpet to cover the 2x4's where the kart frame sets on. I have not come across anything commercially available that you could just buy that would work.

Steve,Web site would be http://www.orevillekartclub.org  If you go on the http://www.ofik.org website be sure to click on "photos" and watch the helmet cam videos, they'll give you an idea of the track.

Hey,any Sunday is great, and believe me you'll have a great time as the people here very helpful with both needed parts & knowledge. Remember we run modern karts & a clone class too! So you can bring your other kart too! It would be great to have you as a regular and I think once you come out here, you'll be back. I know....We'll get Dave L. to come down & he can pick you up on his way thru!! What do ya think Dave?

hi Farmerboy,

i warned you i'd be callin ya sumtin like dat :P

anyway i checked my map thingy on the computer machine.
seems that i'm not too far away "183 mi – about 3 hours 24 mins".
aaaand yer track looks fast and interesting.

my upstate new york buddy steve is about 5 hours away so i won't be picking him up.
BUT i've been blowing off going to your track long enough.
i plan at least one ride out that way next summer.
if i can find stuff for the boss lady to do i may be able to come more often.

maybe i'll get my buddy from maryland and my nephew with his 64 fox satalitte seat box mount kart to come too.
both youse guys missed that one as he found it and i bought it for him minutes after it posted.
i paid a hefty $100 for it and it was in washington dc i think.
he got a nearly mint seat super clean frame with a older rupp steering wheel and rupp turbines i traded him for margay stars .

he didn't know about the stars yet (they're a swap meet find surprise) but he reads the forum.
p.s. Jeff if you see this you should call me as your aunt only brought one wheel to my house.
maybe toms boys hyjacked the rest!!!!!!
as he's in the airforce he may be "busy" in a hot foriegn country next summer but i hope not.

anyway you faked me out good with the blitz so i'll be by with my karts and a BIIIIIIGGGG can-O-whup-yer-kart.
so bring yer dust mask cause i'll be by:D:D:D:D

yer bud
Dave:cool:

You hoo. New York boss lady...........guessie what Luchie is hiding? And in a shopping center!

Perfect. I'll bet it's under a store where she buys shoes....................what a perfect cover.

You da man dave........I simply try to paint most of mine the same color. That keeps Mrs puttnikdude guessing.
