Are there any vintage endruo kart people on here or is this just a vintage sprint site. Just curious what the mix would be if any. Thanks, Dennis

Hi Dennis, There are vintage enduro karters on the site. The site doesn't seem to have the activity it once had.

There are a few of us around. I run a Hornet LP2 with a Mac 91B1. We did have several of us at Daytona last month.

I'm also into the laydown karts, I have a 75 Coyote Enduro (the Red Devil copy) with a K88. Planning on being at Charlotte with this one to try to shake it down and see how it does.

I take it, you have put this kart out to pasture.

LOL! It was in a barn next to a pasture when I got it originally up in Maryland, the guy I got it from ran the 4 stroke Sportsman Enduro class with it back in 92 at Summit Point, remember seeing it back then, and caught back up with the guy 25 years later. He had it hanging in the rafters untouched since that time, complete with the Flathead on it, so I made him an offer, and the next thing you know, it is riding in the back of the Ford Escape that I had back to North Carolina with me. Been working on it since to get it back up and ready to run, and it is almost there. Trying to get it ready to run at Charlotte this year.

Great, what are you going to use for a clutch and pipe with the K88? I am putting together a 85 Invader with a Gary Hartman Yamaha Rotary. Using GH Pro80 pipe with either a Horstman or Bystrom clutch. I also have some Heagar clutches I might play with sometime. Hope to have ready for April race at Hallett.

Going to be running a slippy pipe and a Horstman axle clutch to start off with, kind of afraid to run the Hartman axle clutch that came with the kart just yet, especially since I need to put some linings on the clutch shoes.

Hey Rick, isn't the Concept the one that I was following at Kershaw to make sure you made it back to the pits when you ran low on gas? I was behind you on the "billboard" Sprint Sit Up with the Clone on it...
