Im just about ready to begin a restore on a 77 margay panther x,can someone id the correct rods and rod ends for the steering. My steering column has one pitman not the the V shape one.Thanks for any help

Pretty certain your Panther X came with ackerman assembly on the steering column:

Hey Karl,thanks for your reply, I have the org steering shaft however my questions was the steering rods and rod ends. The steering rods on my Panther are round aluminum with female rod ends.

That would be correct for the tie rods, and tie rod ends (don't forget the jam nuts). They were zinc wash finish from the factory.

I had a fairly new Panther X in 1977. I currently have a couple in various stages of resting. My original with the "v" pittman arm on the steering shaft had 5/16" steel rods with female rod ends like shown in the picture. The ends were both right handed not one left and one right like later models. I don't recall them having aluminum rods from the factory.
