Doug - I snapped a stud at Cuddy last year. I drilled a small hole about 1/16" in the stump, gently tapped (as with a small hammer) a square point hex bit in the hole and was able to gently back it out, a torx bit might work also. I was concerned with the outward pressure an easy out might exert. I know you will give it some good thought before proceeding, good luck. Paul
