I had a conversation with Duffy last year about Flexo products and the 1600 specifically. I mentioned the facility at the Flexo location didn’t look big enough to actually make karts there. I asked Duffy if by chance all the Flexo 1600’s were in fact left over Go Kart stock and he replied in the affirmative. I used to ride by 5180 Venice Blvd every day back in ’64 but never stopped in. The place is still there and is just a small building. Flexo was kind of a clearing house for excess kart parts after the big bust in karting in the early ‘60’s.
